Hi hi!!
This is going to be a skincare review. I ain't a big fan of doing skin care reviews... because, firstly, what works on me, may not work on you, and vice versa. And besides, I think you do need some kind of knowledge about the ingredients etc before being able to make some kind of judgement about the product, and that, the knowledge, I can't claim to be an expert of. So..... with all that said, do take everything I say with a pinch of salt!! Unlike makeup, I can just ramble and rave about the color, pigmentation, packagin etc those factors are much easier to assess rather than say, a night cream.
The product which I am going to 'review' is the FADE OUT CREAM (NIGHT). It is available at Guardian Pharmacy. There are also 3 other types of Fade Out Cream. But I got the NIGHT version, as I am currently using a day moisturiser already, and I sort of need a thicker night cream to use. This product came highly recommended by a MUFE MUA (you remember seeing her picture in adorebeauty's post, here)
It costs about $20, for 50ml of product. On the tub, it says Made in England, and the product description is as follows:
Fade Out Extra Care NIGHT fade cream is a new and unique lightening cream that gently fades unwanted age spots, freckles and uneven skin tone and other dark pigmentation marks whilst at sleep. The new enriched Zyalight formula enables noticeable results to be achieved within 4 weeks depending on skin type.
For best results, use with the Fade DAY cream.
Clinically proven and dermatologically tested.

It's a white color thick cream, not sure if you can tell (the texture) from the picture.

This is how the texture is like. Because of my nails, I don't like to dip my fingers into a tub, so I usually use my knuckles. Haha. And also, I am too lazy to use a spatula. So.... anyways, I have been using this cream for 3 -4 weeks.
What I like about this product:
The thickness of the cream really protects your face at night, esp if you sleep in a dry air con room.
It doesn't leave a oily 'thick' feeling after application. That being said, this is a night cream, I usually apply this before I go to bed, so it is not as though I have this cream on and do my chores and run the risk of feeling hot and then maybe the cream MIGHT feel greasy in that case?
The scent is kind of old school, a very 'lotion' smell - which I don't mind. It tastes SWEET!! Cos sometimes I accidentally tasted it on my lips. Ha ha.
DOES IT FADE OUT MY SPOTS as it claims to do?? Well, I have been experiencing some breakouts on my forehead(which I think is due to stress and messed up sleeping patterns) and I have been using lotsa concealer to hide the blemish spots. With the use of this cream over time, I find that I tend to use LESSER if not NO concealer these days, unless I have new break out of course. BUT BUT BUT.... it could be that my blemish spots are healing over time by themselves, or that the cream is really working? I didn't track the progress of each spot... but I do feel that my overall skin tone is even out (not that I have a serious problem with uneven skin tone or freckles on my face). So......... actually I am not sure about whether this is REALLY EFFECTIVE. But I FEEL that it is effective, especially if you want a product for overall evening and fading. I don't think, esp for the price, you are paying for something super potent which can really cancel out a specific spot or blemish scars. So.. if you have sun spots... or freckles which you want to even out GRADUALLY over time... this is definitely something you can try. And for the price, why not?
Would I buy this again?? Yes. Because I like how thick but non-oily it feels. And somehow the smell is comforting to me when I apply it at night.
Would I buy the DAY cream (which contains SPF)? Hmmm I am not sure --- simply because I don't know if my foundation will sit well over a thick cream, and given our hot and humid weather, not to mention, I work in a very HOT hot hot environment --- such a thick cream may not work on me for DAY use.
Hope this has been helpful! I might do another skincare review after this (for blemishes).
