Hi!! Just some quick updates, and a look of the day coming up. I was thinking of splitting this up, since it's like a mix and match a few updates... but I think I shall do EVERYTHING in one single post, but I sort of put in headings with the larger fonts. Please bear with me, and thanks for reading!!
New stuff I bought: 2 matte eyeshadows from MAC in Carbon, and White Frost. I got them in the pan version so I can pop them into my palette immediately. They are just the basic black and white eyeshadows, nothing much to say about them. I had actually wanted Gesso which is a matte white, but it wasn't available.

I am hoping to find copperplate e/s which is a matte2 colour. And I reorganised my MAC neutrals palette... I think at the rate I am going, I may need to split them into 2, for highlighting shades and another for the browns, greys and blacks.

I also bought some NYX stuff on ebay recently, the shipping is really cheap, I paid a flat fee for whatever I am buying. I think I got 4 or 5 of the round lipsticks, a MAX FACTOR eyeshadow trio and 2 NYX Jumbo eye pencils in Milk and Cottage Cheese. Will update when they arrive. I saw on lollipop26's blog about her ebay haul, and so that's how I found the ebay seller.
I also cleaned my brushes today, and I am trying out a little new trick. After washing them (with baby shampoo), I wrapped my face brushes, well the goat hair brushes actually, in paper towels. This is to retain the shape of the brush, as goat hair brushes can get quite fluffy and frayed. Hope this goes well. I normally leave my brushes to dry overnight, to make sure they are really dry and clean esp the dense kabuki brushes. Thanks to MissChievious for this tip, who is by the way, a brilliant make up guru!!!

In the background are my mummified brushes!! I usually put them all near the window which is airier (is that a proper word?), and also I tilt the brushes slightly so the moisture doesn't flow 'backwards' into the brush handle. And I stand the kabuki brush to keep its shape.

My Fave brush of the moment below: The BE max coverage concealer brush!! I use this as a concealer brush. Duh... well because I have not used this brush at all when it came with my BE starter kit last year. But I think this brush works like a dream with cream formula. It blends well and I don't have to stick my fingers into the concealer pot. I can see this being a foundation brush too, but kind of small, it is like the MAC190 brush, but mini version.

Look of the day! Which is quite neutral, and I used matte colors, except for the ilght and highlighting shades. I used Plummage and Carbon on the outer corner, blended it with Wedge, the highlighting colors I used are Dazzlelights, and White Frost. On my cheeks, I used Petticoat. On the lips is Lollipop Lovin'.

Sorry, I just had to pick up the call while taking this picture. See how well I can multitask. Haha..

I also used Waveline fluidliner on my lids and the Loreal super liner closer to the lashes.
Side note: My dad just gave me $100!!! Yippeeee... and I am heading out right after this, my bf is already waiting outside... so I better finish this. :p Maybe I can get some shopping done on this last day of 2008.
And if I don't post again it will be 2009, so before I leave... I just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. Wishing all of you happiness, good health and lots of love! Cheers!!!
