Remember I mentioned how I am kind of inspired by these images?
So I loosely re-created this type of editorial shoots with my own junk... and I realised that it is very challenging to source for the right products which should go into a certain image... well, maybe it is hard cos I was a little impatient and I just want to snap snap snap.. I should prolly take a little more time to look for items in my stash and color match everything more closely.
I like how the products are arranged, and how there is a mixture of fashion and MU items. And the colors, they all go matchy... is just very appealing to my eyes.
I have also learned that it is super difficult to take good clear pictures, without shadows, lighting etc etc. So I shall embark on this little projec to take such 'magazine' shots of stuff I have, not necessary makeup, but maybe mainly makeup and accessories.. and hopefully this might be a more 'creative' way to do a makeup collection? Since I am a little tired of the usual format, oh in this drawer, we have all the brushes, and this is where I store my blushers... heh.
I realised how doing this might seem very inane, and I think it probably is... but to me, it's just what I like to do.
These are just a few shots of very very hastily taken pictures.. WORK IN PROGRESS, ok?
Disclaimer: No makeup products were harmed nor destroyed in the following pictures you are about to see.
This is probably my fave, in terms of color and layout.
And a few lame shots, I think pictures taken in daylight are much better.
And this is really messy.
When I have the free time, I will definitely try to do better ones, and in many other color schemes...like purples, blues, teals, greens, blacks, whites, nudes, browns, neutrals, etc etc... I can also do a spring time color palettes.. you know? Like to show stuff with some sort of storyline, specific theme.
Coming up next will most likely be the My Red House haul.
Thanks for reading, and I appreciate your feedback and comments!
