Well, I should have taken more pictures, and compare more colors.  But I will do that in due time.  Just as a quick follow up the previous entry (I didn't want to make that even more pic heavy) I am showing you a couple of pictures of i nuovi Techno and NARS Lola Lola and Mekong swatches and color payoff.

Techno is really impressive in its intensity and texture.

Well, I am running out of adjectives to describe the subtle changes or watever it is but you can see the differences for yourself.  Haha.  :)

Just to share how I do my ONE eyeshadow look.  I find that using a rich brown/ neutral shade is the easiest for this look.  You can use any brown eye shadow you wish.  I think even purples, greens and black/ greys can work out fine too.  The application/ blending method is the same.

I normally use MAC Tempting e/s, Cocomotion p/g, NARS Mekong, or Lola Lola, and lately I think i nuovi's Techno is also a great choice.  Super creamy and pigmented.  It feels like NARS eyeshadows, and I would say it is a good dupe for Lola Lola, even though they look nothing alike in the pans.

Step ONE: Pick out color using a stiff blending brush, like the 217.  This way you don't need to use a separate blending brush later.

Step TWO: Apply color closest to the lashes.  Because this is when your brush is packed with the most color,

and you want the color to be most intense closer to your lashes.

Step THREE: Spread it over your lids, blending softly upwards. Take note that I didn't have to go and pick out more color from the pan, because it is so pigmented!  :)

Step FOUR: Use a bigger fluffy brush to apply highlighter and also blend the 2 colors together.  I am using a MAC 225.

The color I am using is i nuovi's Spotlight which is a pale gold shimmery shade.

This is what you should get.

Step FIVE: Line your eyes. I usually use my Loreal Superliner, but here, I am using Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in 07 Really Black.

I also smudged the line using the other end of the liner. I don't usually line my lower lids unless I am going for a full on smokey dark look.

Step SIX: Apply false lashes.  Or apply mascara. Do your lashes.  I used YSL Faux Cils on lower lashes.

Well, I think that's about it.  Some pictures for the overall effect/ look.  I think the eyeshadow blends out very nicely, because the 'blended area' shows off the undertones of the eyeshadow perfectly.  It looks kind of like MAC Woodwinked e/s.  On the cheeks I dusted MAC Pink Swoon, and also Solar Riche around my face.  Lingerie Pink on my lips.

I hope that you find this tutorial helpful.  You can build up the color and make it more intense etc.

So I went out for a bit this afternoon, to check out the i nuovi anniversary sale.  What I didn't know is that you need to purchase 3 identical items to enjoy the $9.90 price.  So you can't choose a combination of 2 e/s, and 1 blusher etc... thankfully my sisters were with me, and among us, we choose the colors which we would all enjoy using, (3 eyeshadows, and 3 blushers) which is a fab deal, considering the total cost can only get you 2 MAC eyeshadows or lipsticks.

Speaking of MAC, I went to check out the holiday sets, but I think not all the stuff are on display, and I think the only thing which I want would be the mineralised blushers (esp Conjure Up -- check out swatches and images at Temptalia).  But when I asked the MA there, she didn't even know what I am talking about----- WHICH ISN'T EVEN SURPRISING TO ME ANYMORE. Well, regardless, I don't forsee myself stalking the MAC counters for the holiday stuff.

Because I was at Vivocity TANGS, I thought I could check out YSL and use my vouchers to buy a couple of lipsticks, but I realised there isn't a YSL counter there.  Which means I have to make another trip downtown another day before its demise/ disappearance from the stores.

Ok, back to the title of this entry: My i nuovi haul.  When I was swatching the eyeshadows at the counter, I noticed some eyeshadows are  more chunky glittery than others.  Dynamite would certainly fall into that category.  But most of them are very velvety in texture.  So creamy and super pigmented.  One color which jumped out at me (I think it's called ROCK?) was sadly OOS.  But I did get 3 wearable/ neutral/ metallic shades.  Their names are Techno Spotlight, and Dewdrops.

And for my blushers, I choose the colors which are , I bought Spice (plum color), Dusk (bright orange red), Astro (deep pink).  I also stayed away from the shimmery/ glittery ones.

The colors are more pigmented in real life than pictures show.

And to be honest, I am not crazy about the packaging, while I like the see through casing, but the dome shaped cover is kind of bulky, and I can't stack them up or anything.  So DEPOTTING is the way to go.  I have no more space in my MAC palettes, but I have seen people using DVD cases as palettes, and this my attempt to organise my new stuff.

Things you need: DVD case, mounting tape

At the bottom of each container, there is a little hole, you just use a needle to 'poke' and the pan will come out.

Before the mounting tape, I positioned the colors and see if they fit, and match.  :)

Then I stuck the tape underneath each pan.

And ta DA DA, look ma, they are stuck firmly.

Update: I pimped the palette, put a 'cover' page to it.

Just want to thank everyone who left me all the positive words in my previous entry.  My little baby darling is still hanging in there, and I am staying home most of the afternoons and evenings and nights with her.  Thankfully work is winding down, and I can be home in the early afternoon. to spend as much time as possible with her.

I know I have mentioned I will not be posting as much but I thought it is a good idea to review these items, as there is a promotion going on, as you prolly have read in icyabstract and adorebeauty's entries, and I think everbluec also did a little haul entry of her i nuovi blushers.

I have been using my i nuovi products quite a few times, and I must say they are really good quality.  I shall review the 2 products which I have been using in the past 2 weeks, and share my thoughts on them.

Firstly, the blusher in PINK.  This is a pink color blusher, with no shimmer.  I like this color because it gives my skin a rosy glow.  And because the color is so finely milled, it makes for easy blending.  Just to show you the color and how my brush picks up the color.

And here is how it looks like on my cheeks.  Please disregard my dazed expressions, messy hair, the zit treatment patches and the fact that I didn't do a full face makeup for this entry.  I just want to show you the colors when I am wearing them.

You see the color is pretty pigmented, and it adds a very rosy tinge to my face.  I like how you can build up the color, without having to worry that you look like a clown.

Not too sure about the other colors, but I am impressed with this product, and I would definitely check out the color range when I go to the counters.

Next, we have the eyeshadow.  I have the color in Dynamite.  This is a metallic brown shade, with rather chunky glitter bits which might put people off.  However, I think this is a great color and texture to own if you want to do a dramatic neutral (I know it sounds very confusing and contradictory) eye makeup. I like neutrals/ browns which are darker in shade, and Dynamite provides this effect. It reminds me of MAC cocomotion pigment without the glitter.

Here is how the product looks like in the pan and and the brush picks up the product.

Looks like pressed pigment, and you can see the 'chunky' bits.

You might expect a little fallout with such texture, but if you use a primer or paintpot/cream base, that's easily taken care of.

Above pic is the color blended all over my lids with a fluffy brush, and I also applied some in the lower lids for definition.

The eyeshadow doesn't crease nor fade after a day of wear, though some of the glitter chunks disappeared.

Final verdict:

'Pink' blusher:  4 out of 5 stars

'Dynamite' eyeshadow: 3.5 out of 5 stars, or 4 stars if you take into account the name

This is quite irrelevant, but I am such a sucker for product names (besides packaging), and 'Dynamite' just calls out to me.   :)

This shall be the first entry featuring some products which I have been sent by i nuovi Professional Cosmetics. As you might have already known, together with Sara (icyabstract), and Diana (adorebeauty) who are also on the i nuovi beauty review team, and over the last couple of weeks, I have been talking with Deborah from the company, who has very thoughtfully sent a few products for me to try and share my thoughts on.  Basically, I told her I am game to try out neutrals to smokeys browns for eyeshadows, no blush color is too crazy for me to try out, and I am also intrigued by holographic glitter powder.

I am going to take a couple of weeks to give these babies a try, create some looks with them, and let you know how they turn out!

Actually this isn't my first encounter with i nouvi cosmetics, I remember back when I was in Secondary, or college, I bought one of my first eyeshadows from i nouvi - it was a vibrant metallic teal with glitter, super pigmented, and bold color.

But, enough of history, and here is the little package!

Inside, we have:

Colours D27 Eyeshadow -- pressed eyeshadow pigment.  The color is Dynamite.  Just the name alone makes me wanna to go all over it.  Beautiful brown, with reflex glitter inside.

Stardust in Platinum - this has nice packaging, it is sealed up with a sticker, but there is a sifter, so the risk of spillage is very little.  Neat.

And Colours D36 - pressed pigment blusher.  The color is Pink.  My first thought is that it looks like MAC' Pink Swoon, or maybe Dollymix.

The 3 pink patches, right in the middle is Pink, and on top is Pink Swoon (much lighter) and below is Dollymix (more red tone and with a bit of shimmer).
