Would I step out of the house looking like this? Of course not.  Frankly, this is not a look for me.  But I had fun trying to pile on the colors (or the lack there of, in this case) in this look.

I am trying (very loosely) to recreate the modern gothic look which pixiwoo did to promote/ raise awareness of the Sophie Lancaster foundation.

Products used:

Face: Christian Dior Radiant Base, MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation (NC15), Set with Maybelline Loose Powder in Porcelain (for added paleness)

Cheeks: NARS Laguna and NARS Orgasm

I left my brows bare for this look.

Eyes: MAC Vanilla e/s, MAC Black Tied e/s (which I applied over Stila Gold Noir smudgepot used as a base here).  Liners: MAC Black Russian

Lashes: Red Cherry #218, and Shu Uemura Cobweb, and also YSL Faux Cils

Lips: I used Studio Sculpt concealer to erase the lips, and then applied MAC Underaged lipglass.

When everything is done, I dusted MUFE HD powder all over my face for a flawless finish.  You can't see the effect of this product unless you take pictures and all that.

On hindsight, I think this looks more like a super black smokey eye, than the goth look.  Oh well.  I hope I didn't cause any offense to anybody out there.

Heading out for lunch now and decided to be all fanciful with my makeup.

Face: Shu Uemura Nobura foundation, set with MAC MSF (light).  Concealer: MAC Studio Sculpt (NC20)

Cheeks: NARS Laguna, and MAC Blonde MSF (LE)

Lips: MAC Amorous Cremesheen Glass (LE)

Eyes: MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad (LE), Your Ladyship pigment.  Liners: Stila Smudgepot in Brown, and MAC Orpheus (LE) on lower lids.

Lashes: MAC 3/4 lashes from Hello Kitty, and YSL Faux Cils

When everything is done,  I dusted MUFE HD powder all over my face.

And for the Fall season effect, I threw on a leopard print scarf.  Haha.  But I didn't leave the house with that.  I wore a zebra print shirt instead.

I thought this LOTD reminded me of the rich colors seen on the Gucci runways this season too.  Not that I am saying I look like the models, but the colors are along the same lines.

And this picture, I was playing around with the contrast and brightness of the picture, hence the dramatic, if not harsh 'lighting' of the end results. I kind of like the effect.

Hi!  I almost forgot to post this!  So  glad for the long weekend, which also explains why I am still up at 3am.

I was requested by the bestie's 6 year old daughter (whom you might have seen in my previous post) to recreate my Lady Gaga inspired look and I can't possibly re-do the whole thing, so I just did the lips part, which is really the point of the whole look anyway.

I used the MUFE white cream stick to create the background for the heart shaped mouth, and I used a black liner to draw the shape, and filled in with the Stila Gold Noir smudgepot.  For a fun kick, I pasted a few faux crystals onto the tips, but got lazy cos the crystals were super tiny and hard to handle.

Then, she wanted me to try it out on her.  I can't possibly do the same black heart on a little girl, so I used PINK instead, with my MAC Pink Vivid cream color stick. The wacky shades I bought in H&M when I was in Paris last year.  She was soooo happy with the whole little makeup session.  Haha.

Just want to show off my new inuovi eyeshadow which I just got in Rose Gold. It is a really nice red coppery colour.  I decided to be a little more fancy with my eye makeup today (ie using 2 or more colors instead of my usual 1 color fits all EOTD).  And I can't say enough about the 'creamy' texture of the product.  You need only a little product for maximum impact. 

Another little side note:  I have not been using my usual TFSI or Paintpots etc as a base for my eyeshadows. Sometimes I find that they make my eyeshadows look a little too 'thick'.  They also change the 'texture' or finish of my eyeshadows.  So I have been using MAC Vanilla eyeshadow as a 'base' before I apply other eye colors.

What I used here:

Eyes: (Base - MAC Vanilla eyeshadow), (Highlight: Inuovi Platinum e/s),  (Inner corners: MAC Ricepaper & Solarwhite e/s), (Outer corners/crease: Inuovi Rose Gold eyeshadow  -- I blended this color quite a bit so it looks more subtle for my early morning workday but you can pack on the color for a dramatic night look) 

Liner: Stila's Gold Noir Smudge Pot on upper lid, and MAC Powersurge eye pencil.

No mascara etc.

Cheeks: NARS Laguna to contour, and NARS Mounia (cos it soooooo matches the Rose Gold eyeshadow)

Lips: YSL RV Nude Beige, and MAC Underaged lipgloss.

p/s: I resized the pictures and inserted the text all by myself in PS for this entry. Woot to that!!!  :)

Everyone must try out the Inuovi Metallogy eyeshadows, and you know I am not saying that for the heck of it.  :)

I was deliberating whether to post this, because the picture quality is really crappy, no macro shots, no lighting adjustments, because my digi camera is away on loan with my sister.

But I like this natural look, and I used most of the new stuff which I acquired recently. I shall mention product names anyway, not that you can see the colors, because this looks like any of the 821903891083 neutral looks which I do.

Eyes: MAC Patina on the lids/crease, and inuovi's Platinum e/s on brow bone. Stila's 24kt smudge pot on upper lids, and MAC Powersurge pencil on lower lids.

So today my friend drove in to Johor Bahru (in Malaysia, just across the waters from Singapore), and the main reason for me to tag along is to enjoy some cheap eats, and also stock up on my contact lenses (I get to save more than S$100 on my supplies).  We started out early morning to avoid the traffic congestions, and it felt like a little adventure, cos I haven't been to Malaysia in about 2 years.

I only changed enough money to pay for my lenses, and didn't expect to do any major damage while shopping, so I thought my 'pocket money' would be sufficient.  When we went to 'Jusco' and I saw a MAC store there, I knew I had to go in and check out the stuff.  Of course, I compared the price, and found that the eyeshadows are S$3 or $4 cheaper compared to SG prices (RM$58 each, and S$1=RM$2.43, so you do the Math).  I just got ONE eyeshadow, thinking that I may not have seen it in Singapore before (but I later saw it at our local MAC counter at Sephora haha).  I was surprised that they packed the eyeshadow in a very cute holiday bag.  And I also grabbed some flyers and postcards at the till before leaving.

The eyeshadow which I got is Mineralised (Lustre).  Although it is rather glittery, it is also pigmented, reminding me of Tempting e/s but a more grey toned brown.

And the next item I saw at Watsons and I got to grab a few of them.  I first learn that it is available while reading debx (I think so?)'s post on getting Airy Fairy lipstick by Rimmel.  I am keeping one for myself, and perhaps sell one, and save one for my upcoming giveaway.  It costs RM$9.90, which is less than S$5!

**Update: My bad, the lipsticks are RM$19.90 each -- which still works out to maybe S$8....SO, this is what I call drugstore prices!  For those who didn't know the hype about this lipstick, it was apparently highly recommended to lollipop26 by her viewers, and she got it, and she lurved it, saying it is a very good nude color which is not too pale.  So I checked out our Rimmel counters but have never seen Airy Fairy :)on the shelves.

At first glance, it reminded me of MAC Viva Glam VI, or NYX Thalia, but on the lips, it is slightly pink.  Nude Pink?  I thought the color would be paler, before I actually see this product for myself.  The texture is rather smooth, and there is a scent to the lipstick.  In the pictures below, take note that the actual color is more 'natural'.  I took both pictures without flash, as you can see, in both whitish and orangey lighting to show how different it looks on the lips.

Yup, those are the only makeup I bought, I think.  Hahaha.  I also got some toiletries, such as the Netrogena deep cleasning facial thingy which is half the prices we have here (compare RM$12.50 to S$11.50).

And finally, my little LOTD and outfit 'report'.  LOTD is a very simple one eyeshadow look (no surprises there) using inuovi's Techno eyeshadow (love love this!!).  I blended out the edges with MAC Dazzlelights e/s, and lined my eyes with Loreal superliner. On my cheeks, I used inuovi's blushers--- I mixed 2 colors together--a orangey and a pinky blusher.  Lips (YSL RV No1).

Hi Hi!

I was putting on my usual neutral eye look this morning, and I decided to give my YSL RV a rest and try some bolder colors on my lips.  So I went for an orangy coral.  I am using MAC's Ravishing (Cremesheen, LE).  And I am kind of surprised that I got quite a few compliments at work.  Haha.

So that's why I am sharing these pictures.

So I have been tagged by heavenlygorgeous.   I like doing tags like this.  Because I actually have to think about the stuff which I can't do without on a daily basis, and also, I see how over time, my routine changes.  There have been similar tags/ ideas before, you know, that 10 minute routine, the 5 items you can't do without, or a starter kit kind of post...you know what I mean. But I have changed my MU routine a lot recently, because I haven't been sleeping so well, and work is winding down, well, overall, I am just kind of feeling lazy these days as far as putting on MU is concerned.  Most of the days I go to work, I actually put on my glasses.  That means almost zero eyeshadow and no liner at all.

Yea, so with that in mind, let's get to my 'kit'.  Like Sara, I don't put my stuff in a container and only take things which I need from it.  All my stuff are in their respective compartments, and I pull out the WHOLE compartment and put them on the floor, or my bed when I am doing my MU.  So my makeup area would look something like this.  But in the end I only use SOME of the items.  So I pull out my brush roll (eye brushes), brush drawer (face brushes), NARS box, MAC neutral palette, and my face compartment.

So, which items did I exactly use??  I did tell Sara I hope to keep to 10 items....

In the order I use the following items:

1. *not pictured Simple daily moisturiser
2. Maybelline Angel Fit primer applied with fingers
3. MUFE Mat Velvet+ foundation applied with fingers
4. MAC MSF Natural (I used the puff from the MUFE loose powder that's why I put the product there)
5. MAC Vanilla e/s dusted all over my lids using 225 brush
6. Tidy brows with the brush and pencil
7. Blusher (Can't decide, but these 2 are my current faves: NARS Sin and MAC Conjure Up) applied with 116 brush.
8. YSL Lipstick (Lingerie Pink pictured)
9. MAC Studio Sculpt concealer applied with the Essence of Beauty Brush

And that's all.  Well, I did good, right? Not including the tools, I used less than 10 items.  And this is how I look like (at the end of the day, lipstick all gone, and face is a tad shiny).

Is it end of October already??  It is scary how time flies.  No pictures in this entry (camera is still MIA), but I am sure you have seen all these products before.

1. MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer (NC20) - I love how this product is thick but creamy enough to cover blemish spots, and I have been breaking out like crazy this month - but now they are healed thanks to a dose of anti biotics and new skincare-- I went to the doc to get them.
2. YSL Rouge Volupte #7 Pink Lingerie - This is a no brainer.  If there is a product which converted me into a lip product junkie, this is it.  Evidence?  I just bought 2 more Rouge Volupte on ebay (from a local seller germ1132 or smth) and way cheaper.  No worries about fake stuff I checked out her background and feedback.
3. MAC MSF Natural - This product has decent coverage on its own, and also perfect for setting foundation.
4. NARS Sin - I keep mentioning this product in my favourites, and recently, Conjure Up is also sharing the limelight.
5. OPI Nail Polish Suede You Don't Know Jacques - I know the lasting power is nothing to shout about, but I lurve the color and texture of this product.
6. MAC My Favourite Pink Dazzlecreme - Pretty gloss that is non sticky.
7. Maybeline Angel Fit Pore primer - read my review on this product!
8. Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb Extreme - I bought this in Paris sephora, and I think you can get this at the airport, but they don't have the extreme version which is, as the name suggests, a more intense version.  I hardly use this perfume, simply because it is overwhelmingly in your face, but this scent reminds me of my Paris jaunts. I used it last week, and the whole time, I am thinking, I need a holiday pronto!
