Hi hi!
Loving my nail polish combination so much, they warrant a specially dedicated entry early this morning! I painted my nails last night (I usually get sick of same color after 2 or 3 days not so much because they are chipping or wearing off). So this set of pictures show 'morning after' nails, fresh out of my shower. It is pretty obvious I have been raving about my matte nails since the day I purchased my Chanel Matte Top Coat.... and this time I tried them over a nude shade... and I haven't actually worn my Deborah Lippmann Fashion since the day I swatched them (ok, I think I might have worn it once, can't remember).
I like Fashion because it is a very nude-nude... no pinks, no grey undertones... it's like wearing foundation on my nails. Kind of makes my hands look like mannequin... everyone's "mannequin hands" nude is different, obviously. I tried out this combo on my sister, and it looks totally different. I also filed the corners of my nails a little so they don't look too squarish, somehow I think a softer shaped nails is appropriate for this colour.
I am thinking that the Chanel Matte Top Coat is back-up worthy. It's not like I have been a fan of matte nails, but I really think this is a great product, and it does make any nail color stay matte for a decent amount of wear. The matte topcoat also dries completely matte and dry in about one minute (but I don't recommend banging your nails about to avoid dents) Some colors really look even better matte, in my opinion. Matte nude nails are not everyone's cup of tea, I realise... they are even kind of 'anti-manicure' but it's quirky chic, and well, as you can see, I can't stop raving about them.
So.... the next time I go to a Chanel counter, I am pretty sure I will purchase one more.
