Hi hi, yesterday, I got a chance to play with the range of new products from Shiseido. They are now exclusively available at Robinsons Shiseido counters, and do head on there to check out the new products in person! :)
These products are created by Dick Page (who I am sure you must know, if you follow colour and fashion trends, he is Shiseido's Makeup Artist Director). Let's get on with some product introduction, and in later entries, I will be showing swatches, application methods and LOTDs. Quite excited! Rachel Zimmerman has been the Shiseido poster girl for a couple of seasons now, and I personally have been a huge fan of her -- she works the runway like no other (gushes over her FENDI campaigns shot by Karl Lagerfield).
So... anyway... enough of gushing... this season, the makeup focus is either the lips or the eyes, while a new foundation provides a seamless base to start your look. I will be doing a ALL Shiseido LOTD soon, and so do stay tuned for that!
Since lips are the focus, let's start with the SHIMMERING ROUGE: a variety of 13 shades are introduced, and they range from nudes, to pinks to reds. These lipsticks contains the Super-Bio Yeast Extract to promote the growth of collagen in your lips while you are wearing them.

According to creator Dick Page, the concept behind Shimmering Rouge is about energy and colour, it suits active and animated faces. It gives the payoff of a lipstick (like their Perfect Rouge) with the more casual effect of a lip gloss. This means that with the Shimmering Rouge, you don't really need to apply another gloss on top.

And next, for the eye makeup, Shiseido introduces 3 new colors to their range of Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio.
I swatched all three palettes, and I must say, they are super smooth, creamy even, and with quite intense color payoff. I shan't reveal which palette I will be showcasing.... but maybe you can already guess! :) The powders are finely milled, and provide a silky-smooth finish. I am very impressed!
We also have the bronzers, which are also new. I struck by how light the bronzer shades are. There really isn't much difference between the No1 and No3, and all contains super micro-fine shimmers. They are very smooth to the touch, and imparts a nice warm glow to your skin without any muddiness going on.

And the last product, which I am personally very very curious to try out, as you know... a foundation! I have been very impressed with the Shiseido/ Maquillage range of base makeup, in terms of their color range for me, and the quality and texture. So when a foundation is named Perfect Refining Foundation, it sucks me right in! I can't wait to try this out, and the sleek little bottle is just too cute, and handy!
I also got a chance to experience a lipstick makeover yesterday at the Shiseido counter.
Loving the Shiseido makeup station!!

And the Shiseido BA gave me the lipstick makeover.
