Lancome Fall 2012 - The blush Highlighter in 001 Moonlight Rose, is a beautiful highlighting face powder with the Lancome rose embossed in the pan. It has a very pale fine shimmery finish, and is supposed to make your cheeks catches the light, and look radiant. The blush highlighter retails for $70. It reminds me of Guerlain's Cruel Gardenia.. which I also have, but I did not have pictures of them side by side.
What I can say is, you really don't need both. They are so similar, that when applied on your skin, and depending on the lighting condition, no one can really tell what you are wearing. It is a powder highlight, and I just dip my brush into the pan and dust it on my cheeks. I am glad that I don't look like some glitter shimmery ball even though I was quite heavy handed in my application. This is what I like most about the highlighting blush... it is easy to literally slap on, and goes with most cheek colors I want to use. It is also very finely milled.
This is a very pretty product, and no doubt a collector's item with the beautiful rose embossing. However, I won't say that this is so unique that you need to run out and get it.
Applied just at the top of my cheeks. You can see the natural pink-ness of my cheeks coming through.
With blusher - and do note, I prolly went a little NUTS with the slapping on of the blush. :(
but you can see the pretty highlight at work, and it adds just a little bit more dimension to my face.
If you are a fan of cheek highlights, you won't be disappointed with the Lancome Blush Highlighter. As always, be sure to check out the Lancome counter, and have a swatch and try it on your cheeks to be sure! :)
