Make Up Forever HD foundation and microfinish power!

This post is going to be an experiment comparing HD foundation and normal liquid foundation.

I bought my first two Make Up Forever (MUFE) products today, and it is make up gone hi tech.  Hi-definition products which promise to make your face look flawless in this HD age.  There is also the Cargo's blu_ray Pressed Powder, which also promises the look of flawless skin. Well, I don't think I will be appearing in any HD video watever.. but the idea of having flawless looking skin is seriously tempting.  When I buy my foundation, 'flawless skin', 'radiance', 'smooth', 'fine' are the qualities/results I want.

It is pricier than my usual Dior liquid foundation and MAC SFF, but I am giving it a try anyway, and if it works out, I guess I will save this for 'special days' and outings where pictures will be taken.  Ha ha...

I bought the Micro Finish Power and HD Liquid Foundation in No120.  I also bought a new baby kabuki brush from a beauty supply store, it is really cheap, and comparable to the MAC brush, which is 4 times more expensive.  And I love the little diamonds stubs around the handle!

As part of my experiment, I am applying my Dior foundation on one side.  I will set it with my BE mineral veil.  I also applied the Dior Radiant Base on the whole face.

The Dior foundation is the one on the left, and the MUFE is on the right.  The shades are the same, very light beige, but the MUFE seems a tad more yellow in this picture, and a little more 'liquid'.

This is the side with the MUFE foundation, and I used the kabuki brush to buff the Micro Finish powder into my face.

I must say there is a difference, though I am aware the difference is not apparent in the pictures.  But looking at my face in the mirror, and asking my sisters to guess which side of the face is applied using the HD stuff, they can tell the difference.  So overall, I am quite happy with this product.   I will use it over some time, and post updates on this product, so keep a look out!

The MUFE is used on the right side of my face, and the left side is the Dior, I tried my best, but I don't think the difference is obvious. Perhaps in another post, I will try to take the pictures again.

I have a feeling I will keep returning to the HD Micro Finish Power!!  It is the product which really makes your skin look smooth and your pores vanish.  My only qualm about the MUFE is that it doesn't contain any SPF.

I LOVE the MUFE high-def finishing powder. Like, seriously love it. It's like walking around with a soft-focus lens view of your face.

I haven't tried the MUFE foundation yet, and the lack of SPF (plus the price) was one of the reasons I opted for MAC Studio Fix Fluid instead. But I do really like the results you got from the HD foundation - it looks amazing!

Yea... it is rather pricey!
I think the foundation is most likely a one time purchase, but I will definitely come back for more finishing powder!

I'm really curious to see how the Powder holds. So keep me updated about how you like it and if you get more Make Up For Ever products.
